Tia Gillespie is a portrait and representational artist. Translating ideas and images into beautiful artworks to be cherished for a lifetime.

Aligning her passion for creation with unwavering attention to detail, Tia uses her talents to transform imagery into stunning works of art. She acquired her formal training at OCAD University in Toronto and finished her degree in Florence Italy where her surroundings ignited a love with representational artwork that would continue through her career. With close to two decades experience in the mastery of graphite, watercolour and oil paint, Tia is able to manipulate her materials to create something that goes further than mere paint and canvas.

I see all of the hours of work, the endless perfection, the lines and shapes of colour, the differences in value, hue and edges. I see all of those separate elements materialize as my clients’ idea before their eyes. They see their beloved pet or their babies face, their childhood home or an image that has inspired them for a lifetime, now held in their hands to be a part of their sanctuary, their home.
